I am going to Australia in August. We originally talked about going from Sydney to Brisbane, but now I am considering going from Cairns to Brisbane. The main draw to Cairns is the Great Barrier Reef. However, looking at prices... About $200 just for a one day snorkeling trip... it seems like Sydney might be more worth it. Plus, now that I've been looking at it, a couple days in the Blue Mountains before heading to Brisbane sounds really fun. Any opinions on which city is more worth it? Cairns or Sydney. I have enough to have fun but not enough to go crazy and spend $200 on a day trip...
